Expressive Arts

Every Mosaic student is provided instruction in the following Expressive Art (ExArts):
  • Visual Art
  • Dance
  • Music
  • Drama
  • Technology
  • Physical Education
  • Health

Why does Mosaic teach fine arts and utilize arts integration?
  • Identity: The arts allow us to express our unique personalities, perspectives, and cultures.
  • Skills: The arts teach us how to create, perform/present, connect, and respond through visual art, dance, music, drama, and technology.
  • Intellect: The arts recognize multiple forms of intelligence, allowing students to uncover their talents and celebrate each other.
  • Criticality: The arts allow us to imagine and create a more beautiful and just world.
  • Joy: The arts embrace the power of creativity and exploration to make learning more joyful.

The arts encourage us to express our thoughts and feelings so that we can compassionately build a stronger community together.

Our arts program has been awarded "exemplary" status by the CPS Department of Arts Education. Congratulations and kudos to our expressive arts team for all their hard work in achieving this distinction!
