Why does Mosaic teach fine arts and utilize arts integration?
Identity: The arts allow us to express our unique personalities, perspectives, and cultures.
Skills: The arts teach us how to create, perform/present, connect, and respond through visual art, dance, music, drama, and technology.
Intellect: The arts recognize multiple forms of intelligence, allowing students to uncover their talents and celebrate each other.
Criticality: The arts allow us to imagine and create a more beautiful and just world.
Joy: The arts embrace the power of creativity and exploration to make learning more joyful.
The arts encourage us to express our thoughts and feelings so that we can compassionately build a stronger community together.
Schedule
PreK to 6th will rotate through all ExArts classes throughout the year. 7th and 8th will pick two electives for each semester. The selection of their second elective will occur at the appropriate time during the year.
