High School Application Timeline

Please note the following information and dates are applicable for the 2025-2026 school year. 

September

• HS Presentation for 8th Grade Students in Class: Thursday, 9/11
• HS Presentation for 7th Grade Students in Class: Tuesday, 9/9
• HS Presentation for 8th Grade Parents: Monday, September 15 at 8:30am (in the library)
• Monday, September 15 at 3:30pm- (in the library). Virtual Session, September 15 at 7pm.
• Virtual Link will be shared with families.
  • 6th/7th grade families are welcome to attend

Tuesday, September 23, 2025: GoCPS Application Opens

October
Wednesday, October 8, 2025

• 8th Grade High School Admissions Test (HSAT)
  • Takes place during school hours at Mosaic for 8th graders

Date TBD

• High School Fair
  • Hosted by TBD
  • Meet with different high school representatives to learn more about their schools all in one location

Wednesday, October 15th, 2025

• 8th Grade High School Admissions Test (HSAT) for other languages, parent consent form required
  • Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Spanish, or Urdu

Wednesday, October 22-23, 2025

• 8th High School Admissions Test (HSAT) Make Up Test
  • Only for students that were absent on previous date, for all languages

Wednesday, October 29, 2025

• 8th High School Admissions Test (HSAT) Final Make Up Test
  • Only for students that were absent on previous date, for all languages

November
Date TBD

• HSAT results will be posted to your GoCPS account – will update once announced

Friday, November 14, 2025

• Application Closes by 5pm

February 13th 5pm:

• HS results released on GOCPS Portal 
• Login to GoCPS: https://www.apply.cps.edu/en

February 18th

• Selective Enrollment HS principal discretion process opens
• Students who qualify- will see the SEHS PD application in their GoCPS portal automatically on 2/18/26 at 10am.

March 6th- 5pm

• HS offer acceptance deadline
• Accepting any offer automatically declines all other offers.

• Decisions CAN be changed as many times within this 3 week window

April 10th

• Principal Discretion results released
